Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security protocols to safeguard organizational data systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop disaster recovery plans
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (CIS benchmarks, NIST frameworks)
- Document security procedures and prepare compliance reports for stakeholders
- Mentor junior security analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on incident response experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize security incidents
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
