Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment to ensure 24/7 system integrity.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses in the network.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security appliances.
- Develop and update incident response plans, ensuring rapid recovery from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure coding practices and infrastructure deployment.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and forensics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
