Responsibilities
- 24/7 Security Operations: Monitor security infrastructure, SIEM alerts, and intrusion detection systems to identify and neutralize threats during the weekend shift.
- Incident Response & Mitigation: Lead the containment and remediation of security breaches and cyberattacks that occur outside of standard business hours.
- Vulnerability Management: Execute scheduled vulnerability scans and patch management protocols to ensure system resilience.
- Threat Intelligence: Analyze threat intelligence reports and adapt security protocols to counter emerging cyber threats.
- Access Control Review: Manage user accounts and permissions to enforce strict access control policies and prevent unauthorized access.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with proven expertise in network security and incident response.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM), firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and willing to work remotely from New York or Columbus, OH.
