Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Analysis: Monitor security operations center (SOC) feeds, analyze security alerts, and investigate anomalies to identify potential intrusions and malware activity.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical investigation and containment of security breaches, performing forensic analysis to determine root cause and recommend long-term remediation.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and code reviews to identify weaknesses in our network architecture and applications.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) through documentation, audits, and policy enforcement.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT engineering teams to design and implement robust firewall rules, VPN configurations, and endpoint protection strategies.
- Adversary Simulation: Design and execute red team exercises to test the resilience of our security controls and employee awareness programs.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information security.
- Shift Availability: Must be available and willing to work the Weekend Shift (e.g., Friday 5 PM – Sunday 5 AM).
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and Windows/Linux environments.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
