Are you a dedicated security professional looking for a challenging yet rewarding role? Apex Defense Systems is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our weekend shift team. We offer Relocation Assistance for candidates willing to move to our Houston hub or to our Florida facilities.
In this role, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring the integrity of our network infrastructure and protecting sensitive data during off-hours when threats are often most prevalent.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts.
- Conduct thorough incident response and forensic analysis for security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management for critical systems.
- Enforce security policies and access controls to mitigate insider threats.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve critical security incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SOC or Incident Response.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays.
