Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and logs from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the initial triage and containment of security breaches during off-peak hours.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct periodic scans and penetration testing assessments on critical infrastructure.
- Compliance Reporting: Generate and maintain detailed reports regarding security posture and audit findings for executive stakeholders.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and malicious actors within the network perimeter.
- Security Hardening: Recommend and implement patches and configurations to strengthen network defenses.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in SOC operations or network security.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, and enterprise-grade firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical teams.
