Responsibilities
- Execute 24/7 continuous monitoring of network traffic, endpoints, and cloud environments during weekend shifts to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and post-incident recovery.
- Analyze security alerts and logs to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to correlate global threat data with local security events.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate audit trails in accordance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and conduct security awareness training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on SOC operations or Incident Response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CEH, or Security+ are highly required.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and SOAR platforms (SonicWall, FireEye).
- Proven experience with network security appliances, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with a high level of alertness.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
