Responsibilities
- 24/7 Monitoring: Act as the primary responder for security incidents occurring over the weekend, utilizing SIEM tools to detect and mitigate threats against our equity options infrastructure.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct deep-dive log analysis and forensic investigations to identify potential breaches, insider threats, or anomalies in trading data streams.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to NIST frameworks, SOX regulations, and internal security policies regarding access controls and data privacy.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee and coordinate the patch management cycle for weekend deployments, prioritizing critical security patches for trading applications.
- Access Governance: Review and approve privileged access requests for weekend support teams, ensuring the principle of least privilege is strictly enforced.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific experience in financial services or high-frequency trading environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack) and familiarity with secure coding practices for equity options platforms.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear incident reports and brief executive leadership.
