Responsibilities
- 24/7 Monitoring: Act as the primary responder for security events during the weekend shift, monitoring SOC dashboards, SIEM alerts, and intrusion detection systems.
- Incident Response: Conduct rapid triage, analysis, and containment of security breaches and malware infections using industry-standard playbooks.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and malicious activity within the network infrastructure using advanced hunting techniques.
- Log Analysis: Perform deep-dive forensic analysis of system logs to identify anomalies, suspicious user behavior, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Reporting: Document incidents, create detailed post-incident reports, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the SOC team during handover periods and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding security status.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Information Security, SOC Analysis, or Network Operations.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or CCNA Security preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack), endpoint detection (EDR), and vulnerability scanners.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
