Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents during weekend shifts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Implement and manage firewall configurations, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
- Participate in incident response drills and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Snort, Wireshark, Nmap)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during off-hours
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site when required
