Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Lead incident response investigations, from detection to remediation, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security controls and harden network architecture.
- Conduct security awareness training and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
