Responsibilities
- Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify security gaps before they are exploited.
- Manage and optimize security tools, including SIEM (Splunk/Sentinel), IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
- Direct incident response procedures, leading investigations and coordinating with legal and IT teams during a breach.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and ongoing training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with software development to implement secure coding practices and DevSecOps pipelines.
Qualifications
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and network architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
