Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events within the SIEM environment to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and lead the response to security breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and remediate security alerts, ensuring timely patching and configuration hardening.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a SOC or Information Security role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Clearance to work with sensitive data is required.
