Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with incident response teams to mitigate threats.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance checks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, operating systems, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with security tools such as FireEye, CrowdStrike, or Carbon Black.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, CEH).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Valid US work authorization.
