Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident response and forensic investigations to mitigate breaches and prevent recurrence.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce remote access security policies and secure remote infrastructure.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for remote employees.
- Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) within the network.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or Information Security Analysis.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ required; GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions (EDR).
- Remote Work: Proven track record of effectively working in a remote environment with strong self-discipline.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with automation scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus.
