Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents in real-time to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and remediate weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop, implement, and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and procedures across the organization to ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Security Awareness Training: Lead initiatives to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness to reduce human error risks.
- Incident Forensics: Conduct detailed post-incident analysis and root cause analysis to improve future defense mechanisms and prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Protection) and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
