Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security measures to protect organizational systems and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and respond to incidents in real-time
- Develop comprehensive incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanning tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
