Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools to identify and neutralize threats before they impact business operations.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security frameworks and protocols to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as HIPAA, NIST, and ISO 27001, specifically supporting requirements for our Virginia operations.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of cybersecurity incidents, coordinating with legal and IT teams to minimize downtime.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CSSP is required; Security+ is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), and endpoint protection (EDR) solutions.
- Remote Work: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment with strong self-management skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
