Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Management: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses within the organization's systems and applications.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access management systems.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is required; GCIH or CRISC is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar), Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Remote Readiness: Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment with strong self-discipline.
