Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and alerts within the SOC environment.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
