Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, conducting root cause analysis and forensics.
- Monitor security alerts and threat intelligence feeds using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate risks in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers do.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures in alignment with NIST and ISO standards.
- Manage access control protocols, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust architecture implementation.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Train staff on security best practices and conduct security awareness campaigns.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent security clearance.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation; deep knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Splunk, QRadar, or similar log management platforms.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relocation Eligibility: Must be willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC.
