Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform regular security audits and compliance reporting to ensure adherence to internal and external standards.
- Train and mentor junior analysts and staff on security awareness and threat mitigation techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT auditing.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
