Responsibilities
- Monitor & Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and correlate data to identify potential threats.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Compliance & Policy: Enforce strict security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement robust security controls, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CCNA Security is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or network security environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and familiarity with VPNs, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for security automation tasks.
