Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Detection: Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) feeds 24/7 to identify, investigate, and respond to cyber threats and security incidents in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the containment and eradication of security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on business operations during the night shift.
- Log Analysis: Analyze vast amounts of log data using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect patterns indicative of malicious activity.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure using advanced hunting techniques.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate patch management cycles for identified security gaps.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed incident reports and trend analysis to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Certifications: Must hold CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (or equivalent) certifications.
- Shift Requirements: Must be willing and able to work the Night Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Tools: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent military/commercial experience.
