Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches and anomalies.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including malware analysis and network forensics.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day vulnerabilities within the network.
- Compliance Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on security posture, incident trends, and compliance status (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in the identification, prioritization, and remediation of system vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for incident communication with clients and stakeholders during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, ELK Stack) and scripting (Python or PowerShell).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
