Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts and analyze security events using SIEM tools.
- Conduct real-time threat hunting and incident response for sophisticated cyber attacks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing analysis during off-peak hours.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and remediation strategies in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and security continuity.
- Enforce security policies and configure firewalls/IDS/IPS to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and remain alert during low-activity periods.
