Are you a seasoned security professional looking to protect critical infrastructure during the most critical hours? Apex Cyber Defense is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) in New York, NY.
We are looking for a dedicated night shift specialist to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats in real-time. This is a high-impact role where your work directly safeguards our clients' data and systems against evolving threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) across a diverse infrastructure.
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and incident response for critical security breaches.
- Analyze log data to identify suspicious patterns and potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the red team to validate security controls during off-hours.
- Document incidents and create detailed forensic reports for legal and compliance review.
- Conduct security posture reviews and recommend immediate remediation actions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CySA+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors.
- Proven experience with SIEM, EDR, and Firewalls.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during high-pressure night shifts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
