Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor security feeds, logs, and alerts to identify potential breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and containment of security incidents during the night shift, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Log Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis of system logs to detect anomalies and establish baselines for normal traffic patterns.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct routine scans and assessments to ensure software and hardware defenses are up to date.
- Reporting: Generate detailed incident reports and security dashboards for the executive team and shift handovers.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with day-shift teams and external threat intelligence providers to share findings.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network defense.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work the Night Shift (evenings/overnights).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
