Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events across the enterprise infrastructure in real-time.
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Manage and troubleshoot SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, or ArcSight) alerts and automate workflows where applicable.
- Collaborate with the Threat Intelligence team to correlate global threat indicators with internal logs.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure timely patch management of systems.
- Document incident responses, create playbooks, and provide feedback to improve detection capabilities.
- Conduct security awareness training and act as a liaison for internal security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC environment or network security role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during night shift hours.
