You will monitor security alerts in real-time, analyze complex datasets, and execute rapid incident response strategies to neutralize sophisticated threats before they breach our perimeter. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events 24/7 to detect potential breaches, intrusions, and malicious activity.
- Conduct thorough log analysis using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, QRadar) to identify suspicious patterns and anomalies.
- Execute incident response plans, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage risk to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate threats, share intelligence, and improve defense mechanisms.
- Document incidents accurately and maintain comprehensive security reports and audit trails.
- Stay current on emerging threats and security trends to proactively adapt our defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, NOC, or security operations environment.
- Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors (e.g., Phishing, Malware, Ransomware).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and security tools.
