Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough forensic investigations and root cause analysis on security incidents.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure rapid response to breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate stakeholders on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and web technologies.
- Proficiency with Python or Bash scripting for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
