Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security controls into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC/DevSecOps).
- Investigate security breaches, perform forensic analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Stay current on emerging threats and security trends to proactively advise leadership on risk management.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on security best practices and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network topology.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or Bash) and security automation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
