Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Investigate security breaches, root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) and incident response frameworks.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Scripting: Ability to write scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
