Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify potential weaknesses in the network.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for security policies, incident response plans, and technical procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices are followed.
- Lead security awareness training sessions for employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
