Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) to detect, analyze, and respond to advanced persistent threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate forensic investigations for security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security controls, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems to protect enterprise assets.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through regular audits and risk assessments.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee the identification, prioritization, and remediation of system vulnerabilities using automated scanning tools.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and security best practices.
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red team units to simulate attacks and validate defensive controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, and endpoint protection platforms (EPP).
- Scripting: Strong ability to write and troubleshoot Python or Bash scripts for automation tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
