Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to ensure 24/7 system integrity.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses in network architecture.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery from cybersecurity breaches.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST and ISO frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure configurations for servers, applications, and cloud environments.
- Perform security audits and provide detailed reporting to management and compliance stakeholders.
- Educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and malware analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automated security tasks.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
