Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) 24/7 to identify and neutralize potential threats in real-time.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure before attackers do.
- Incident Management: Lead the response to security breaches, perform forensic analysis, and implement remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 standards through rigorous documentation and audits.
- Network Defense: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to secure network perimeters and remote access points.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and data protection best practices.
- Vendor Risk Management: Assess the security posture of third-party vendors and manage risk assessments effectively.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation, and deep knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI, and routing protocols.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), EDR solutions (CrowdStrike), and vulnerability scanners (Nessus).
- Remote Work: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, remote-first environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
