Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security appliances.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures for various threat scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, CIS Controls, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and remediate risks.
- Document security incidents, trends, and prepare detailed reporting for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CompTIA Security+.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
