In this role, you will be the guardian of our digital assets, leading threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor SIEM systems, analyze security alerts, and respond to incidents in real-time to mitigate cyber threats.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the deployment and configuration of security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Incident Management: Lead post-incident reviews and create detailed reports to improve organizational resilience.
- Remote Security: Implement and enforce secure remote access protocols for distributed teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on threat analysis and incident response.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), firewall management (Cisco, Palo Alto), and scripting (Python or PowerShell).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be based in Chicago, IL, or willing to work in a fully Remote capacity.
