Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Analysis: Monitor network traffic and systems in real-time to identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including forensics, containment, and eradication of security breaches.
- Security Architecture: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security frameworks, including Zero Trust architectures.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
- Security Operations: Manage SIEM systems, oversee security operations centers (SOC), and ensure 24/7 monitoring coverage.
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red team units to simulate attacks and validate defensive controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security roles.
- Certifications: Must hold active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting; experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
