Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to analyze security logs, detect anomalies, and respond to active threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the technical response to security breaches, conducting forensics and implementing remediation strategies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and applications.
- Security Architecture: Assess and recommend improvements to security controls, ensuring alignment with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Compliance & Governance: Manage documentation and audits to ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a senior analyst or SOC lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM, endpoint protection (EDR), firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of Python or PowerShell scripting for automation and threat hunting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
