Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Implement, configure, and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Lead incident response planning and execution to mitigate threats effectively.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure system architectures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption standards, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
