Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure robust defense mechanisms.
- Manage incident response plans, leading forensic investigations and post-incident reviews to prevent future breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across all organizational systems.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a culture of vigilance.
- Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and emerging technologies to recommend proactive security measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or threat intelligence.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly required.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and security tools (FireEye, Tenable, CrowdStrike).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact for stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
