Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and perform remediation to maintain a secure network environment.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and intrusion detection.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security best practices and compliance standards (NIST, ISO).
- Generate and present detailed security reports to management regarding system health and incident trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, SIEM, Firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), and Endpoint Protection.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
