The Role:

Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, malware incidents, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks to ensure rapid recovery from security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT and software engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve system architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC GSEC.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security roles.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and forensics tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
