Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and security breaches using SIEM tools like Splunk or Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents, including phishing attacks and malware infections, with minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine the root cause and prevent future breaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent military/industry experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
