Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate security flaws in software and infrastructure.
- Perform forensic analysis and root cause analysis for security breaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or threat intelligence.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with scripting (Python or Bash) for automation and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
