Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential risks.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security appliances.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks for various threat scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment.
- Produce detailed security reports and metrics for executive stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest cyber threat trends and compliance requirements (NIST, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, SOC analysis, or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of security protocols, network architecture, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
