Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions for weekend production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable microservices
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues during weekend operations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, retrospectives) to drive continuous improvement
- Optimize application performance and security protocols for 24/7 infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming sessions
- Document technical specifications and create comprehensive API documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience in Java/Python/JavaScript
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Relevant weekend shift or on-call experience preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
