Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and indicators of compromise (IOCs) using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to secure network boundaries.
- Develop, document, and update security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO).
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and security audits.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support for critical security incidents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, SIEM analytics, and log management.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
